PlayStation Store shoppers can buy games at up to 75% off through Monday, November 30, but Sony’s announcement mentions no console, accessory or PS Plus deals. The Black Friday sale began on Wednesday, November 4, and covers thousands of PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, expansions and DLC.
Sony’s own PlayStation Blog post says percentages and promotions may differ by region. It set the start at 00:00 on November 4 and the close at 23:59 on November 30, in the PST, GMT and JST time zones.
Sony Stretches the Sale Past Last Year’s Length
Polygon reports that last year’s sale lasted half as long. IGN adds that the 2025 discounts were limited to the week of Black Friday itself. Polygon floated a theory: stretching the sale across November may be Sony’s way of making up for the missing hardware deals.
Two dates matter inside the window. The lineup refreshes on November 16, and certain discounts end on November 20, when some deals are replaced with new offers. Sony’s post advises checking each item’s product page for its deadline. Black Friday itself falls on November 27, Video Games Chronicle notes.
PlayStation just announced its massive Black Friday game sale for 2026. The upcoming sale kicks off on November 4 with up to 75% off thousands of games and DLC, though current hardware details are notably absent.#PlayStation #BlackFridayhttps://t.co/y76QXs3i8z
Polygon and Video Games Chronicle Highlight Upcoming Game Contenders
Sony previewed a short list rather than a catalog. It includes Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition, Saros, 007 First Light, Pragmata, Silent Hill: Townfall, Astro Bot, Valheim and NBA 2K27. The full list and each discount appear on the store itself.
The preview also names UFC Ultimate Edition, Mortal Shell II, The Blood: Eclipse Edition, Echoes of Aincrad Deluxe Edition, Beast of Reincarnation and The Sinking City 2. Polygon describes a handful of these as this year’s game-of-the-year contenders, including Pragmata and 007 First Light. Video Games Chronicle points to Marvel’s Wolverine and The Blood, which launched in September, and Silent Hill: Townfall, released last month, as recent releases in the mix.
Mashable’s picks, which it says include early-expiring deals on Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, NBA 2K27 and Silent Hill: Townfall (ending November 20), carry these US prices:
| Game | Sale price | Regular price |
|---|---|---|
| Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred (Standard Edition) | $29.99 | $39.99 |
| Astro Bot | $39.59 | $59.99 |
| Silent Hill: Townfall | $39.99 | $49.99 |
| NBA 2K27 (Deluxe Edition) | $44.99 | $99.99 |
| Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition | $59.99 | $79.99 |
Mashable says Astro Bot sends players across more than 50 planets to rescue stranded bots, and calls it the gold standard for DualSense immersion.
Its NBA 2K27 listing, a Deluxe Edition, includes 100,000 Virtual Currency (VC) for building up a MyPLAYER’s attributes, and is scheduled to expire early on Nov. 20.

Indian Shoppers See Different Prices
Khelnow lists rupee prices, such as 55% off NBA 2K27 Deluxe Edition and 60% off Assassin’s Creed Shadows Deluxe Edition. It says PlayStation Store India offers up to 90% off selected titles, including Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy.
Khelnow’s other listings include Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition at ₹1,539, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Digital Deluxe Edition at ₹2,239 and WWE 2K26 at ₹1,999. Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition is ₹4,311 against ₹5,599, a 23% cut, while 007 First Light Deluxe Edition is ₹2,399 against ₹4,799, or 50% off. The Economic Times advises Indian gamers to check the local store for the prices that apply to their accounts.
Good for you. I am buying Physical Black Friday games!
Observers Note Software Focus as Console Prices Rise
Last year Sony dropped $100 off consoles, IGN says, which roughly cancelled out a price hike the month before. It also took $20 off DualSense controllers and $100 off PSVR2. This year IGN notes that no PS5 bundle has been mentioned.
Polygon notes that last year’s event brought a new PS5 bundle, and that the official announcement this time says nothing of hardware or accessories. Video Games Chronicle says the sale looks limited to software and that console prices have only been rising. It adds that, because this is an early sale, Sony may have more to offer closer to Black Friday.
IGN sees one hopeful sign: the November 20 date matches when Sony launched its full console deals last year, so a second wave may arrive. Retailers such as Best Buy and Amazon may add their own offers, the outlet says, though it wouldn’t expect them to be large.
Sony currently sells refurbished PS5 bundles at $40 off, starting at $518 for the Digital Edition, while the disc-drive model costs $568. Sony is also offering up to $400 for trade-ins of PS5 consoles and controllers. IGN suggests the refurbished focus likely stems from ongoing stock issues.
Video Games Chronicle ties the sale to a wider test. Sony’s announced move away from physical releases starting in 2028 prompted a boycott campaign called No Disc, No Buy
, and the outlet says Wolverine’s reported launch-month sales leave it unclear whether the movement has had much effect.
