Intense weekend of competitions in Modena, Boissano, Novara, Turin, Gravellona Toce for the Canavese athletes. Let’s start with the two events outside the region. TO Boissano (Savona) Stefano Demo, standard bearer of Avis Atletica Canavesana, has significantly improved his personal best in the Allievi decathlon, totaling 6,790 points well 300 more than his previous record. The Rivarolo, trained by social coach Daniele Duretto, won the Italian indoor title in the pentathlon in Padua this winter. In the Cadets esathlon victory of his brother Fabrizio Demo (Athletics Rivarolo). TO Modena on stage the representative Cadets of Fidal Piemonte with two Canavese athletes as protagonists. Mattia Merlo (Atletica Strambino) is seventh on 100 hs. Sixth place for Jacopo Libertino (Avis Atletica Ivrea): 1.73 in the high jump. Fifth Piedmont in the team standings.
On the day of the Republic Day, the fifth edition of the City Meeting of Chivasso. Victory in the 800 meters for the Eporediese Michela Arena (Avis Atletica Canavesana) who won over her teammate Sara Borello. Fifth home athlete Marco Spiezia out of 100 courses in 11 “25”. Arrival on the wire in 1500 with Erica Pegoraro second and Sofia Cancila third both in personal best. In the youth teams, Edoardo Parlangeli’s fourth place over 300 (Chivassesi) should be emphasized. In evidence again the brothers De Nuovo first and third over 1000, Giorgio D’Amico (Strambino) fourth in 60, Nicole Cravetto (Canavese 2005) fifth over 1000. In the Dellamodarne Meeting in Novara Sofia Cancila (Canavesana) wins over 5000 and second Alberto Nardi in the javelin.
A Gravellona bad weather ruined the speed races which did not prevent Marco Spiezia from finishing seventh and Marco Bertollo on 100.
