BlueTorino Vol-Ley will be the opponent of the Cortina Express Belluno in the fourth and last round of the B2 women’s playoffs.
The outcome of last night’s recoveries was decisive in defining the final standings of the twelve teams eliminated in the third round and, therefore, “parachuting” in the fourth.
On Wednesday night, Bisonte Firenze and Caselle Torino joined the ten teams already promoted to B1.
Bisonte Firenze beat Liberi and Forti 3-1 (already beaten 3-0 in the first leg). Caselle eliminated BlueTorino Vol-Ley in the golden set who, before the play-off set, managed to win 3-0, overturning the 3-1 defeat of the first leg. The fourth round matches will be played on Sunday 20 (at De Mas) and Saturday 26 (in Volpiano).
“It had to be a shorter season than usual to meet the companies, already tried by Covid, and instead it will last two months longer than normal. With all that this entails in terms of costs … ”.
Without the intent to make controversy, but accounts in hand, the sports director of the women’s volleyball Belluno, Claudio Casanova, comments on the decision of the Federvolley to postpone the fourth and last round of the B2 series playoffs by a week.
“This is a shareable decision since on Wednesday there were still some races to catch up”, Casanova continues, “but, probably for this reason, a decision like this could easily have been taken earlier”.
The people of Belluno have been at work since September 1st. Their season, therefore, will last ten months. But the postponement could also have some positive implications for the Cortina Express.
“An extra week of time”, explains the sports director, “will allow us to recover all the damaged players for the fourth round: Fantinel, Garzaro and Fiabane herself, who will probably be able to play, also thanks to the use of a tutor” .
Claudia Fiabane, yesterday morning, took stock of her physical condition after the injury remedied in the return match of the semifinal played against Fusion Venezia.
“According to the orthopedic visit, I should remain still for another 15 days avoiding potentially traumatic activities. Now ”, explained the Belluno plant interviewed on the official website of the company in the capital,“ I am undergoing rehabilitation and, using a special functional bandage, I hope to be able to play. Fatigue has built up and further postponement doesn’t help. But we have to grit our teeth, make strength on the will to play and on our determination, rather than on physical conditions “.
Race-1 of the fourth round (Sunday 20 at De Mas) will be the first with the public in the stands.
“With the public you will be able to perceive even more the feeling of the finale. We ”, concludes Fiabane,“ are charged up and for sure it will be exciting. We will fight all the way for victory. So far we have had a good overall championship, which has required a lot of commitment and sacrifice from each of us. We therefore believe we can deserve the promotion ”.
