Health, in Ragusa delicate biliary tract surgery on cancer patient

Ragusa – A delicate intervention on the biliary tract was carried out in an oncological patient in the interventional radiology unit of the “Giovanni Paolo II” hospital in Ragusa, directed by Francesco Floridia, which allowed to perform intra-canal microbiopsies, inside of the biliary tract, with minimally invasive technique, allowing a precise histological diagnosis, necessary for the planning of subsequent therapies. The interventional radiology activity continues, thanks also to the presence of the interventionist radiologist Andrea Boncoraglio and to the inter-company collaboration with the team of the «Garibaldi hospital. The operation completed is added to the other percutaneous hepato-biliary-cholecystostomies procedures, stenting, liver biopsies, already performed in the ASP structure in Ragusa.
