Hacker attack and fire for Luma Energy, Puerto Rico in the dark

Miami – A fire in an electrical substation on the American island of Puerto Rico has thrown thousands of residents into darkness since last night. Luma Energy, the company that provides electricity, has made it known that it has suffered a cyber attack.

“There was a fire in a transformer at the Monacillo substation,” a district of the capital San Juan, the company said two hours after explaining that it was the target of a hacker attack that made it “difficult” to customers access their online accounts.
