The Renault Tatuus 2.0 Formula by Denis Mezzacasa

The Agordino Denis Mezzacasa he was still the best of the Belluno riders this weekend in the fiftieth edition of the Vallecamonica Trophy (in the province of Brescia).

It was the third round of the Italian Speed Championship, excellently organized by the Automobile Club Brescia along the provincial road that passes through Malegno, Ossimo and Borno.

210 people entered the race, with all the big names in the championship present. As in Verzegnis, also in Brescia, the best from Belluno was Mezzacasa, who is increasingly at ease with the Formula Renault Tatuus 2.0. Agordini took home an excellent twentieth place overall and a second in the E2SS 2000 class, consolidating his first class position in the TIVM Championship.

«I am very happy with the performance», comments Mezzacasa, «and with the car. I have significantly lowered my staff at Malegno – Borno. There is still room for improvement, but now the car set-up is perfect and for this, as always, I thank those who support me in all this, from Xmotorsteam to Team Aralla. Now we are preparing as best we can for the long and difficult Trento – Bondone ».

Good race also for Claudio Caldart, who finally managed to test his new BMW A3000, finishing in second position in his class, giving spectators a real spectacle, with many traverses.

Victory in N1600 and fourth of group N for Fabrizio Vettorel and his Peugeot 106, with excellent chronometric results especially in race 1.

Excellent test also for the young and promising Luca Guerra, more and more performing at ease on his Peugeot 106 RS 1400, where he goes to win the class. While it was an unfortunate race for his brother Giorgio Guerra, which was forced to retire again.

Sixth place, however, for Luca Soravia in one of the most hard-fought classes on the Renault Clio RSPLUS 2000.

The overall victory of the race went to the Florentine Simone Faggioli. The Tuscan of the Best Lap, in fact, did not leave room for his opponents, stopping the clock on the edge of 3.37.64, also setting the new record of the course at the wheel of his Norma M20. Faggioli won both race climbs.

Second place was the eternal rival Christian Merli on Osella FA 30, while in third place, to complete the podium, Diego Degasperi also arrived on Osella FA 30.

The next appointment with the CIVM is scheduled between 25 and 27 June, with the Paolino Teodori Cup.
