CHIAVERANO

Unity is strength. This is the spirit that united the Ivrea Tennis club association and the Canavese Ivrea volleyball club, a militant volleyball club in Serie C, which will be the protagonists at the new Chiaverano sports center in via Ombre. In addition to tennis and volleyball, yoga, motor skills, gentle gymnastics and five-a-side football will be practiced.

A multi-sports area that aims to enrich the territory, as stated by the technical director of the Ivrea Tennis club, Marcello Crotta: “In recent weeks we have taken over the Chiaverano sports area and to provide an increasingly qualitative service , we have decided to involve the various associations operating in the area, offering courses and lots of fun. In mid-May the yoga courses have already started, followed by the teacher Alice Mistretta and those of tennis, coordinated instead by me and the instructor Raffaele Olimpio. At the end of June the Volley Oriented Summer Center will also begin, with the summer week volley camp, in collaboration with the Canavese Ivrea volley. This sporting activity will be divided into three weeks – says Crotta – this to allow the largest possible number of members. The first shift runs from Monday 28 June to Friday 2 July, the second from Monday 5 to Friday 9 July, while the third and last shift runs from Monday 12 to Friday 16 July. To closely follow the boys and girls who want to approach this discipline for the first time will be instructors of the Canavese Ivrea volley – says Crotta -. In addition, for football lovers, there will be the possibility of practicing it on two fields, one for 5-a-side football and the other for 9-a-side football. totally outdoors, a lot will depend on the weather conditions. Our will is to do sports courses and activities for as long as possible, combining more and more fun with learning the sport you want to practice ».

Full satisfaction of this excellent initiative of the Ivrea Tennis Academy staff also comes from the Canavese Ivrea volley, as explained by the press officer Alberto Bossino: “We immediately accepted with pleasure this opportunity that Marcello Crotta proposed to us, because we are at the side of all those who want to improve our territory qualitatively ». Not only sports, however, but also a social and tourist aspect, as Crotta explains: “We will organize free courses for people with disabilities in collaboration with the Cooperative Pollicino and the instructor Alberto Garretto, as well as theatrical events with Matteo Chiantore and street food events on weekends, all in full compliance with the anti Covid-19 protocol ». –
