Wednesday the recovery with Alcione at Fortunati, Sunday the one with Club Milano: they are both rivals of the grenade still in the running for the D (and expected by Sant’Angelo)
PAVIA
No quarantine for Sant’Angelo: Lele Domenicali’s team will be able to return to training within a few days, after two of his players were negative at Covid, initially positive results, and then face Varzi in recovery, a game that could play already next Sunday, “appendix” to a championship finished only for some (among these, Vogherese and Accademia Pavese) but which has yet to pronounce the only verdict, the most important: who will be promoted.
S. Angelo-Varzi will be a direct match for D only in the event of a draw or defeat of the current leaders Alcione in the recovery on Wednesday evening (20.30) at Fortunati against Pavia; with a victory, the Milanese of Albertini, former Academy coach, would rise to 22 points, cutting out both the rossoneri santangiolini and the grenades from the promotion race. In fact, whoever of the two teams should win, would reach a maximum of 20. In the case, however, of a draw with the Azzurri of Nisticò, here the Alcione would rise to 20 points, or would end the season at 19 in case of defeat, keeping Sant’Angelo and Varzi running.
But it is clear that the accounts must also be made based on the results that the other favorite for the final victory could achieve, namely Club Milano which is currently at 16, but with two games to recover (Sunday 20 at home against Pavia and Wednesday 23 away on the Sancolombano field in the rear): he can aspire to first place, with final victory if Alcione does not win in Pavia or possibly play-off at 22 with Alcione himself, if the orange of mister Albertini were to impose themselves against the Azzurri.
At present, Alcione and Club Milano remain the favorites for D. Sant’Angelo and Varzi, having to clash anyway, they can at most rise to 20 and hope for some false step of others to continue hoping.
Returning to the Covid case, after the positivity found in two Rossoneri players and consequent postponement of Sant’Angelo-Varzi, their negativity has now emerged. The players involved tested positive after the antigenic rapid swabs carried out by the doctors of the laboratory affiliated with the Federation. At that point, by protocol, they had to submit to the molecular. Yesterday the communication of the negativity that completely avoids the quarantine (10 days plus 1). As usual, Sant’Angelo will transmit the results to the Federation which will decide when the Rossoneri will be able to return to training (within a few days) and especially when it will be possible to recover the match against Varzi.—
