For the glory, for the story, for the money and of course also for the market. Juve-Milan on Sunday evening is played across the board, mixing the mission that is worth a season (to win qualification in the Champions League) with the future goals of the two teams. The plots have never been lacking on the black and white axis, from Inzaghi to Pirlo and without forgetting the return business that involved Bonucci and Higuain in recent times, but now a sensational scenario opens up for possible exchanges or arrivals. Inevitably, the fate of Gigio Donnarumma focuses the spotlight and multiplies the tensions: in just over fifty days it will be the most precious zero parameter in Europe, but the tug-of-war to renew with the Rossoneri (rejected the proposal of 8 million per season) he was enriched by the Juventus maneuvers to engage him in case of release (five-year for a total of 50 million). Whoever goes to the richest Europe, therefore, will in all likelihood also take the goalkeeper of the national team: this is enough to ignite an already hot challenge of his own, given that the Milan fans in recent days have had a hard confrontation with Donnarumma (“O renew or not play in Turin »), but there is a whole background of players and negotiations that transform this Classic into a special session of Piazza Affari.
And at the center of the plots, there is Mino Raiola. The naive agent, who moves players and money relentlessly, is the real deus ex machina of the match: not only for the big players he represents and will be protagonists at the Stadium, from the Dutch De Ligt to the Ibrahimovic totem, but also for those involved in a possible change of jersey. In addition to the Donnarumma, even the older brother Antonio can end up at Juve (Under 23), there are also Bernardeschi and Romagnoli at stake.
Both still have one year on their contract and for the clubs they represent both a problem and an asset: they are not owners and at the same time they can yield excellent capital gains.
For this reason Juve and Milan have been discussing a 25 million euro exchange for some time, well managed by Raiola who is the agent of the two Azzurri, but the Donnarumma affair could complicate plans or relationships. As well as a Juventus management that is about to expire: the manager of the technical area, Fabio Paratici, will hardly renew and in the coming months he may end up at Bayern Munich as sporting director.
The end of a Juventus cycle, however, will not stop Raiola’s maneuvers and Turin can always bring a luxury ex like Kean or Pogba. Contacts with Juve remain intense, last April 14 he was at Continassa, while the Rossoneri are coveted by two other assists such as the Argentine midfielder De Paul and the French striker (and son of art) Thuram.
