Italy-Turkey at the European Championships as in 2000: goals from Conte and Inzaghi

Finally we leave. After the postponement of Euro 2020 due to the pandemic, the long-awaited appointment is about to become a reality. The last two comparisons between Italy and Turkey date back to two friendly matches, in 2002 and 2006: 1-1 the final result on both occasions. The last official match between the two teams took place on the occasion of the European Championships, in 2000: a 2-1 victory for the Azzurri with goals from Antonio Conte, in acrobatics, and Filippo Inzaghi. As reported by Oddschecker, Italy is unbeaten in previous matches with Turkey: considering also the friendly matches, the balance up to now is seven wins for our national team and three draws.
