Taranto, 8 June 2021 – New turning point ininvestigation into the former Ilva of Taranto. The Power Prosecutor’s Office has in fact ordered new precautionary measures, as part of an investigation concerning alleged irregularities committed by the former Taranto prosecutor, Carlo Maria Capristo, in investigations on the former Ilva.
In particular, the measures concern the Sicilian lawyer Pietro Amara, the former prosecutor Capristo, the lawyer from Trani Giacomo Ragno and the policeman Filippo Paradiso. A residence obligation has been imposed on Capristo. Amara was Ilva’s legal advisor when the company was in extraordinary administration and, in that capacity, would have had relations with Capristo. Amara, whose name has risen to prominence in recent months in the story it concerned politics and CSM, is the recipient of a precautionary custody order in prison.
