Eporedians champions of Italy Acsi. The players of the Aca football team at 11 of the Ivrea football team last Sunday, June 6, won in Montesilvano, in the province of breaking latest news. They won 5-3 on penalties, after the 2-2 in regulation time, against the Apulian team of Team Bellono Bari.

Starting from Ivrea on Thursday 3 June, the Ivrea expedition to Abruzzo achieved another great result. Even the 5-a-side football team (20 teams, divided into 5 groups): the Ivrea players of Meg finished third at the national level, after being defeated in a semifinal fought by the Ciociari of Frosinone 7-5.

The most important historical undertaking for the entire Canavese sports sector, however, is the one carried out by the Aca Representative from Emilia-Romagna, made up of 23 players from three Canavese teams: FC Pavone, Kanavesana 19 and FC I Blues. Selected by coach Francesco Ferro, coordinated by a technical staff composed of Jimmy Cavallo and Alessandro Peretto, the Ivrea players started the forty-fourth edition of the Acsi National Championship at the Aldo Mastrangelo stadium in Montesilvano with a 0-2 defeat against San Martino Chieti. A blow that has not affected the desire to return to Canavese by an inch with a great result. They won their group (three) and in the final they managed to get the better of Team Bellono Bari, thanks to a race made of intensity and determination until the end: under 0-2 up to 10 ‘from the end, a’ gored by Daniele Inzillo first and another header by Alex Iannaci then, brought the game to a tie. The lottery of penalties smiled at the Ivrea team, who also took home the prize for the best goalkeeper of the tournament, thanks to Jacopo Oberto Tarena, as stated by the coach Ferro: “I thank the new Aca president Luigi Trompetto and the Aca member Mirko Garau for asking us to take part in this competition. The expedition started three months ago, when we got together and started making the first friendlies ». Jimmy Cavallo says: «In my whole life I have cried with joy on two occasions: the first when my granddaughter was born, the second last Sunday when Gianotti scored the decisive penalty. We celebrated in the hotel on Saturday evening, because it was a dream for us to be in a national final and then on the coach on the way back, when we exhibited the Cup in the front row ».
