SCAFATI – After the rest period imposed by the Serie A2 championship calendar, Givova Scafati is preparing to face the 2021 Italian Cup Final Eight. Last Sunday’s break allowed the Gialloblù quintet to recover physical and mental energies in view of the competition that foresees three races in sequence, starting from Friday and until Sunday. To play all three days, however, each match must be won, with the classic single elimination formula.
The first scheduled challenge will be played at 21 on Friday on the neutral of the sports hall in Cervia (Ra), on whose parquet Givova Scafati has achieved another historic result in the past: the victory of the Serie B championship in the 2013/2014 season. The opponent in turn will be the Reale Mutua Torino of the former Demis Cavina (on the bench of Scafati in the final part of the 2012/2013 season in Legadue) and Franko Bushati (in yellow-blue again in the 2012/2013 season). At this meeting the Agro troop will arrive with the full staff, without any defection and therefore in the best possible conditions to compete with a strong and complete team like the Piedmontese one.
