CROSSBAR. The search for two hikers who did not return from Valchiusella began in the late evening of today, Thursday 10 June. They are two people who, in the afternoon, had requested the intervention of 118 to help an injured hiker above Traversella. The request for help was launched by a fellow excursionist, the most experienced, who had come down from the Colle della Furce to a point where, with his mobile phone, he was able to call 112. Two people remained with the injured person. that after the departure of the 118 helicopter they presumably began the descent towards Fondo. At the moment, however, there is no news of these people and a team from Ivrea of the Alpine Rescue has already started in search of them, with the difficulties due to the late hour, the uncertain weather and the rough terrain.
