It counts more who does, not who speaks

by admin

There is much discussion about who plays a prominent role in the executive of Mario Draghi, but the confrontation between center-right and center-left cannot be measured with the classic criteria of political influence, precisely because of the particular nature of the government. What counts more is those who demonstrate that they know and want to “do”, and on this level emerge, at least considering the facts of these few weeks, Giancarlo Giorgetti e Renato Brunetta. Giorgetti has started to work on corporate crises and the availability of vaccines: we can discuss the operation linked to the Russian one, but it is still a fact. Brunetta has facilitated the new social pact in the Public Administration, has defined the framework of trade union relations and the objectives of improving efficiency and is preparing to face the contractual renewals that have been left to rot for an unsustainable period. Of course we will see if the final results will be up to the commitment, but for now the signs are in the direction of an active and operational presence of these ministries, while the ministers of the Democratic Party are spoken almost only for their role as heads of the currents that must resolve the crisis at the top of the party.
