The latest vertical landing of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket

by admin

This is the 120th flight of the Falcon 9 family of rockets, starting in June 2010. In this case, the carrier carried a satellite into orbit on behalf of SiriusXM, a New York company that provides satellite radio services.

The Falcon 9, produced by Elon Musk’s aerospace company, is a reusable rocket precisely by virtue of its ability to land vertically after its flight. The landing, as happened several times in the past, took place 10 minutes after take-off in the Atlantic Ocean on a drone-boat, a sort of remotely guided floating platform. In this video released by SpaceX and seen more than 3 million times on Twitter in less than 12 hours, the final phase of the Falcon 9 landing on June 6, 2021.
