Kidney-to-heart tumor removed by a robot for the first time in Niguarda

The surgery lasted nine hours in Milan to remove a tumor extending from the kidney to the heart using a robot. For the first time in the world, at Niguarda hospital a team of urologists and cardiac surgeons operated on an 83-year-old patient with the combined use of the surgical robot and a special suction cannula, inserted from the jugular to the heart.
