It seems that we don’t have to worry about the hasty Playstation 4 version of “Horizon: Forbidden Western Regions”. According to game director Mathijs de Jonge, Guerrilla Games actually does a large part of the game development on Playstation 4.
This was revealed in an interview with Game Informer, de Jonge explained:
“A lot of development was carried out on the Playstation 4, and a lot of game tests were also done on the Playstation 4. Therefore, we ensure that the holders of the game console will have an excellent experience, and this game will be viewed on this game console. It also looks beautiful.”
On Playstation 5, we can certainly expect better graphics, de Jonge also has some points worth sharing:
“Visually we can add more details. From a graphical point of view, the underwater scene rendering technology of Playstation 5 is very special-it has additional details and additional systems. For example, wave technology is better on this system. “
He also mentioned the release date. As we reported earlier this week, Sony stated that they believe “Horizon: Forbidden Western Regions” will be launched within this year, but added that they cannot guarantee it. de Jonge has the same idea:
“Give us a little more time, and then we can determine the final launch date.”
