PALERMO – An extraordinary contribution of one million euros was assigned to the UNESCO sites in Sicily to compensate for the lower revenues caused by the closure of cultural sites to the public during 2020 due to the pandemic. The resources, provided for by the regional stability law, have been identified and attributed – with a decree signed by the general manager of Cultural Heritage, Sergio Alessandro – in relation to the attendance recorded by each individual site during 2019, the last year in which it took place. regular opening activities.
