Water service, Italian disaster. And the funds from the PNRR are enough to plug only half of the holes

The Italian water service needs investment. The amount needed to plug up flaws and inefficiencies in the system is so high that the 4.3 billion envisaged by the NRP will not be enough not even to complete half the job.

The average quality of the water that reaches the Italian taps is high. The problem is how much is lost on the way to homes, fields and industries (42%) and above all the one that we manage to purify once we use it: on the latter aspect, Italy has structural delays, which have resulted in four European infringement procedures, which downstream translate into hundreds of local measures.
