Digital economy leaders gather for the sixth Africa Tech Alliance Forum on Thursday, November 13, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos under the theme The Next $1 Trillion Opportunity: Building Africa Through Technology
.
According to reporting by Techeconomy, AfriTECH 6.0 brings together policymakers, investors, founders, and technology leaders to focus on practical infrastructure rather than aspirational speeches, addressing the paradox where billions of dollars in investment and multiple unicorns exist alongside chronic infrastructure gaps, regulatory fragmentation, and capital access constraints.
Tackling the Trillion-Dollar Question at the Oriental Hotel
Co-convener Mr. Chike Onwuegbuchi emphasized the direct nature of the upcoming discussions as the forum’s central agenda focuses on converting Africa’s digital promise into a trillion-dollar economic reality.
The event is co-convened by the Africa Tech Alliance Forum and the TechCastle Foundation. Techeconomy provides media platform support for the gathering.
Return of the Africa Tech Alliance Excellence Awards
AfriTECH 6.0 marks the return of the Africa Tech Alliance Excellence Awards (ATAEx) alongside the main forum sessions. The awards program recognizes outstanding achievements across the continent’s technology, fintech, telecoms, and digital economy ecosystem.
Organizers maintain a curated, high-signal format for the event rather than operating as a mass-admission technology festival. Attendees typically include C-suite executives from banking, telecoms, and fintech; regulators shaping digital and payments infrastructure; venture capital and development finance investors; and founders scaling startups across the region.
